Based on recommendations here and elsewhere I went with a full Unifi setup for my home network. I got the patch panel in place over the weekend and have the upstairs wired. I am hoping to unbox the AP's, USG, cloud key, and switch this week (waiting on 4 inch standoffs to come in for my rack, I neglected to account for the depth of 48 port switch when I bought the rack, derp). I have watched what limited videos are out there and am on the forums at ubnt, but I wanted to see how the arsians were making out and if there were any gotcha's I should watch out for.
I know the unifi app hasn't caught up to their edge line, if they had AP's integrated into Edge I would have gone with that line. I want to avoid the CLI for now and am hoping I can have a secure network up and running just using the GUI for now.
So anyone got any tips, tricks and opinions?
